IGNOU results early declaration, June'19 Term-end examination


IGNOU, which is one of the largest open university of the world conducts theory examination twice a year in the months of June and December. The exam is of two shifts which is morning and afternoon shift. The morning shift exam begins at time 10:00 a.m in the morning whereas the afternoon shift begins at the time 02:00 p.m.

Ignou exam basic details:

To appear in Ignou term-end examination, student is required to submit the assignment of the subject/course that he/she wants to sit exam for. Then he/she needs to fill-up exam form and pay the exam fee which is ₨ 120 per course.
                                                           The hall-ticket is then announced by Ignou before 2-3 weeks of beginning of the examination. The student is required to download the hall-ticket from the official or unofficial Ignou website.The students must bring the downloaded hall-ticket and student's ID card. If he/she fails to bring any of the two then he/she can not be allowed to appear in the examination.
                                               Students are usually not allowed inside the examination hall before 30 minutes of the examination. And are not allowed even 30 minutes after the beginning of the examination. The duration of the exam is usually 2 hours for 50 marks question paper, 3 hours for 100 marks question paper and 1 hour 30 minutes for 25 marks question paper.

Declaration of term-end examination results

Ignou usually starts declaring the term-end theory examination results after 30-45 days of completion of examination. As soon as the examination answer sheets are checked, the Ignou updates the results of that particular checked course/subject. Hence one may receive their one or few course/subject's result early and of others later.

Pass marks for term-end examination is 34 for 100 marks examination, 17 for 50 marks question and 9 for 25 marks question.
                                       In case if any student gets low marks or fails then he/she can even apply for recheck of the paper that he failed or secured low marks. Students are also allowed to see their answer sheet as how it has been checked but to see their answer sheet the student need to complete some official process and pay the amount for checking the answer sheet.
